Variety Stores

Variety Stores is located at number 21 in Tilak Nagar, Salabatpura. Like the name says, we have a bit of everything crammed onto the shelves. It’s one of those shops where you walk in and might get lost for a minute if you aren't careful. We’ve got household items, stationery, small toys, and stuff you didn't even know you needed until you saw it. Being in Salabatpura means we see all kinds of people every day. It’s a neighborhood place. I spend most of my time restocking things or helping someone find a specific type of thread or a kitchen tool. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit so much in. We don't have a fancy computer system to track everything; we just know where things are by memory mostly. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to wait for the next delivery truck, which can be a bit of a wait. It isn't a high-end boutique. It’s just a regular store for regular people. We open early and stay open until the evening commute is over. The floors are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. It’s a busy life, but it’s nice being part of the Tilak Nagar community. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful when someone walks in looking for a lightbulb or a notebook. It’s a full life.
