Bharthana is where we are. The shop is called Talk In. It is mostly me and one other guy who helps out when it gets busy. We sit here and wait for people who have problems with their phones. Maybe a screen is cracked or the battery won't charge up anymore. It is a small place, not much bigger than a bedroom. We have a glass counter where we keep some of the newer models and some second-hand ones too. People come in from the Bharthana streets and ask us how much for this or that. We tell them. Sometimes they stay to chat about the weather or the traffic. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually keep the door halfway closed to let the air conditioner work better. The walls are painted a light blue, but they are getting a bit old now. We have tools scattered on the back table—screwdrivers, tweezers, and some soldering wire. It’s not a fancy office. It’s just a place where we work. Sometimes we get a lot of customers and it gets crowded, and other days I just sit and look at my own phone for hours. I usually bring lunch from home in a steel tiffin. We eat quickly between customers. It is just a regular job in a regular part of town. I've been here for a couple of years now.
