Swaroop Architect

Swaroop Architect is located over on Varachha Road in the Jodhpur Gam area, specifically at Prernateerth Derasar Road 508. Being near the derasar means it’s a pretty recognizable spot for folks who live around here. The office itself is on the fifth floor, so we get a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops and the busy street below. It’s a typical workspace with a lot of pens that don't work and rulers that always seem to go missing when you need them. My name is Swaroop and I handle most of the day-to-day stuff along with a small crew. We aren't interested in being the biggest firm around; we just want to do honest work that stays standing. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a window should go or how to make a staircase fit in a tight spot. Jodhpur Gam is a lively place to work, and there’s always something happening outside. Sometimes we have to wait a while for the elevator, so we’ve started taking the stairs more often than we’d like. The work involves a lot of patience, especially when the municipal paperwork takes forever to come through. We just keep at it, moving from one plan to the next and trying to make sure the builders understand what we’ve put on the paper. It’s regular work for regular people, and we don't try to make it sound like anything else.
