We operate out of Dongarewadi, right across from Balar Export at Plot No. G-1 in Surat. This part of the city is always buzzing with people involved in the textile industry. Our office is a straightforward place where we handle the federation’s tasks. It’s not filled with expensive furniture or modern art; it’s mostly just rows of desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of trade magazines. We spend our days coordinating with various people in the textile machinery sector. Surat is known for this stuff, so there’s never a quiet moment. The noise from the street is constant, and you can often hear the sound of trucks being loaded nearby. We have people dropping in and out all day, sometimes just to have a quick chat about how the market is doing or to ask about some technical details. The tea boy comes by every couple of hours, which is the highlight for most of us. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, there are papers everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery here in Surat. It’s a hard-working atmosphere, and that’s exactly how we like it. We don't worry about being fancy because there is too much work to do.
