If you come down to Pandesara, you’ll find us right across from Jai Bhagawati Mill. We are located at S.No.149 in Vadod Gam. It is a real industrial area, so there’s always noise and trucks moving around at all hours. We work with synthetics, which keeps us pretty busy most of the week. The building we are in is functional, nothing too special to look at, but it does the job we need it to do. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Working in textiles in Surat is just what people do here, so we fits right in with the local crowd. There are days when the power goes out or the roads are blocked by delivery trucks, but we just manage somehow. We handle the materials, check the quality, and move things out to the customers. It’s a lot of manual work and checking long lists of inventory. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything fancy like that. It is just a few of us making sure the business stays afloat. We know the other shop owners around Pandesara. Sometimes we share a tea in the afternoon and talk about how the market is doing lately. It’s a tough business sometimes, but we’re used to the pace. The office gets dusty because of all the traffic outside, but we clean it up every morning before we start. We are just regular people doing honest work.
