Sunflower Solar

Sunflower Solar is tucked away in Kohinoor House, right at Plot No. 1 in the Gajera Industrial Estate. Being on A.K. Road means there are always trucks moving around and a bit of dust in the air. We’ve got our workspace set up here to handle all the solar gear that comes in and out. It’s a practical space, nothing too special to look at, just lots of boxes and tools. We spend a lot of time out on roofs or in open fields, so the office is mostly for planning where to go next. Most of us here started out just wanting to work with our hands. Solar seemed like a good way to stay busy. We don’t really do big speeches or fancy presentations. Usually, it’s just us showing someone how the panels sit on the rack or explaining where the wires go. The industrial estate is a good spot for us because we can make a bit of noise and nobody minds. We have a couple of old desks and a map pinned to the wall with some coffee stains on it. It’s a real place where real work happens. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the fan buzzing. We just keep moving through the jobs as they come in. There is a small tea stall at the corner of A.K. Road where we usually take our breaks.
