If you’ve ever been to the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road, you know how crazy it gets. We are up on the 5th floor, specifically in unit 540 near the Car Parking Project area. Spardha Prints is right in the thick of it. Getting up here can be a bit of a wait for the elevator sometimes, especially when everyone is trying to move big bundles of cloth at the same time. The halls are usually crowded with people talking loudly and carts pushing past. Inside our space, we deal with the printing side of things. There’s always that smell of ink and the sound of machines running. It’s not a quiet place to work, but you get used to the background noise after a few days. We spend a lot of time checking the colors and making sure the patterns look okay on the fabric. Sometimes a machine jams or a shipment gets delayed in the traffic downstairs on Ring Road, and then everyone is a bit stressed. But mostly, we just stick to the schedule. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and keeping the workspace organized enough to actually move. We aren't some big corporate office; it’s just a busy floor in a massive market building where we do our printing work every day. People stop by to check on their orders, and we just keep the machines going as long as there’s work to do.
