Sorathiya Weaves Private Limited is located on the ground floor of Plot-28 in the Kailash Dham Society. This is over in the Minaxi wadi area of Katargam. We are part of the busy 395004 area in Surat. Since we are on the ground floor, it is easy for people to drop by. We have been here for some time now, and the neighborhood knows us. Our workspace is filled with the sound of looms and people talking. It is definitely not a quiet office. There is always the smell of yarn and the hum of activity. We don't have a lot of space for extra stuff, so every corner of the workshop is used for something. The street outside is usually full of bikes and delivery vans. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the threads and fabric scraps, but we clean up as we go. We are just a group of local people who know how to weave. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just make the fabric and sell it. It is hard work and the days are long, especially in the summer when it gets really hot inside. We usually have the fans running at full speed. Most of our customers are from nearby or have been working with us for a long time. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in the heart of Surat and we take it day by day.
