Our shop is tucked away in the N. J. Complex, specifically at Shop No. 14 over in Magob Gam. Most folks know the area near Puna Jakatnaka, and we are right on that Kumbhariya Road stretch. Working with neon signs means there is always a bit of a mess in the back with glass tubes and wires everywhere. It is not the cleanest work in the world, but we enjoy seeing the lights come on when a project is finally finished. The complex can be a bit quiet in the mornings, but it really picks up later in the afternoon. We have been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us by now. It’s a small shop, so we mostly focus on one or two things at a time to make sure they get done right. Getting the bend just right on the neon tubes takes a lot of patience, and sometimes we have to start over if things don't look right. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a steady spot where you can get a decent sign made. The traffic on Kumbhariya Road can be a real headache some days, especially during the rush hour, but we are used to it. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to work. It is mostly local business owners coming in to get something bright for their storefronts. Nothing fancy, just hard work and lots of colored lights lying around. We keep the doors open and try to get through the daily list of tasks without too much trouble.
