This place is a bit tucked away, so you have to know where you are going. We are based in Malad West. The full address is Udhna Survey, Julious Wadi, near the Gaon Devi Mandir and Ali Talab in Malwani. We are in Shree Ram Apartment, which is right opposite Adarsh Chemicals. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of narrow lanes. Siddharth Textile Traders is basically just rooms full of fabric. We have rolls of cloth stacked up against every wall. Some are cotton, some are synthetic, and they all have different smells and textures. I spend my days talking to people on the phone and looking at samples. My desk is usually buried under swatches and order forms. It can get pretty chaotic during the peak season when everyone wants their orders at the same time. The air in the office is often full of tiny bits of lint from the fabric. We have been here for a while, so we know the local transporters and the other traders in the building. It is a lot of haggling and checking quality. Sometimes the colors do not come out exactly right from the factory, and then we have to figure out what to do with the stock. It is a lot of manual work, moving heavy rolls around and packing them for shipping. It is not a polished corporate office. It is a working space where we handle cloth every day.
