SHUTTLELESS WEAVERS ASSOCIATION

The Shuttleless Weavers Association is located in the Hojiwala Industrial Estate, which is out in Village Vanz. Our office is on Road Number 18, specifically at Plot E-5/9. This whole area is dedicated to textiles, so there is never a quiet moment. We are an association, so a lot of our work involves bringing people together and talking about the technical side of shuttleless looms. These machines are a bit more modern, but they still require a lot of maintenance and know-how. Most of our days are spent meeting with different members, hearing about their production issues, or just keeping up with the local regulations in the Chorasi Taluka. The estate is a bit far from the main city of Surat, so it feels like its own little world out here. You see a lot of specialized technicians and warehouse workers moving around all day. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is always on production and efficiency. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a fancy reception area. Our space is filled with technical manuals and meeting notes. It’s about supporting the people who do the actual weaving and making sure the industry in this part of Gujarat stays healthy. We just keep our door open and try to be useful to anyone in the trade who stops by the estate office.
