Shreeji Coal And Chemical

Our business is located at Parle Point on City Light Road at number 1. We don't sell groceries or clothes here. We deal with coal and different kinds of chemicals. It is a heavy and dirty business. The walls of the office are a bit grey from the coal dust that blows in. We have a large yard in the back where we keep the stock. Trucks come and go throughout the day. It gets very noisy when they are loading up. I usually wear an old shirt because it is bound to get stained by the end of the day. The office itself is very basic. We have a couple of metal desks and a lot of old files. We don't have a computer system that works all the time, so we keep most of our records in handwritten books. It is easier that way for us. The smell of the chemicals can be quite strong depending on what we have in stock. We keep the fans running to move the air around. Most of our customers are from the local industries. They have been buying from us for a long time. We don't do any advertising. People just know we are here at number 1. It is a hard job but it is what we know. We close up early on Saturdays to get some rest. It is just a plain, honest way to make a living in the city.
