Shree Gangamaiya Silk Mills Private Limited is situated at 4325 in the Sachin GIDC area of Village Sachin, Taluka Chorasi in the District of Surat. It is a very industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of activity and the sound of machinery everywhere you go. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. Our mill focuses on silk, and the interior is mostly taken up by the looms and the storage for the raw materials. It is not a polished office space. The floors are concrete and there is always a bit of lint in the air. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just a group of us who know how to handle the machines and keep the silk moving. My cousin often stops by to help with the heavy lifting when we have a big shipment going out. The weather here can be quite humid, which is tough on the workers, but we keep the big fans going to stay cool. We usually eat our lunch together in a small corner of the mill. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don't try to pretend to be a big corporate entity. We just focus on our daily production and making sure we have enough material for the next week. It's simple, honest work that keeps us busy from dawn to dusk. We just try to do our best each day.
