Shree Ganesha Laxmi Dyeing & Printing Mi is located over in Salabatpura, which is a really crowded but important part of Surat for anyone in the textile trade. We are specifically on the mezzanine floor of L.B. Apart, right off the Ring Road near Synergy number 3. Working in an apartment building that’s been turned into a commercial space is a bit cramped, but we make it work. The mezzanine floor at C-16 is where we do most of our administrative stuff, and the stairs up there are a bit steep. Being so close to the Ring Road means it is never quiet. There is a constant hum of traffic and people moving about below us. Our rooms are filled with color charts and samples of different prints we have been working on. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with bits of fabric and ink samples lying around, but that is just the nature of dyeing and printing. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything. You just walk in, and you’re right in the middle of the work. Sometimes the lights flicker when the heavy machinery in the neighborhood starts up, but we just keep going. People from the other units in the building often pop in for a quick chat or to borrow some supplies. It’s a very close-knit environment here in Salabatpura.
