Shiv Shakti College Of Distance Education

Shiv Shakti College Of Distance Education is up on the third floor of the Silicon Shopper building in Udhna. Our unit is T/75, and if you’ve ever been to this part of Surat, you know how busy the commercial hubs can get. We aren't a traditional college with a big grassy campus or a sports field. Instead, our space is mostly filled with desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. We handle distance education, so most of our work involves helping people who can't attend regular classes because they have jobs or other responsibilities. People come in during their lunch breaks or after they finish work to pick up their study materials or ask about their exam schedules. It’s a small team here, so we end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phones to organizing the mail. The building can get a bit loud with all the other shops and offices nearby, and the elevator is sometimes slow, so most of us just take the stairs. It’s a practical setup for a practical purpose. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything like that. It’s just a place where you can get your paperwork sorted and find out what you need to study for your degree. Surat is a city where everyone is working hard, and we just try to fit into that rhythm by providing a way for people to keep learning.
