Shree Dhanvantary Pharmacy College

Our college is located right near the railway station in Kim, so there is always the sound of trains passing by in the background. It’s a bit of a walk down Dhanvantary College Road when the sun is out in Surat, and it can get quite dusty during the dry months. We spend most of our time in the labs or the classrooms, where students are busy looking at medicine bottles and learning about different chemicals. It’s a practical kind of place, nothing too flashy. The labs have been used for a lot of years, and you can see the wear on the benches, but they work fine for what we need to do. Many of the students come in from the surrounding villages in the Olpad taluka, so the place feels very local and down-to-earth. We have a small library where people go to hide away and read when they have exams coming up. During the lunch break, everyone hangs out in the corridors or near the entrance. It gets a bit crowded when a large batch of students finishes a session, but we manage the space okay. The staff rooms are usually filled with stacks of papers and old textbooks. It’s just a regular pharmacy college where we focus on getting the work done and making sure the students know their stuff before they head back home to Surat or wherever they live.
