Shiv Mobile & Computer

Over here at Varachha Road Nagdevi, we handle both phones and computers. It started as just phones, but then everyone started bringing in their slow laptops, so we added computer stuff too. Shiv Mobile & Computer is what the sign says, though it’s a bit faded from the sun now. The shop is usually cluttered with old monitors and keyboards we use for spare parts. It’s not the cleanest looking place, but we know our way around a motherboard. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. We get a lot of students coming in because their laptops died right before an exam. It’s stressful for them, so we try to hurry. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic stools. The tea stall next door is where I spend my breaks. I've been in this spot for about six years. We don't promise miracles, just honest work. If a hard drive is gone, it’s gone. We don't like giving people false hope. The air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but it keeps the machines cool, so we leave it alone. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us. We keep a small notebook for all the repairs we have to finish. Sometimes I forget where I put my glasses, which makes everyone laugh. It’s a friendly enough place to work and get things done.
