You can find Shiona Fabriarts (Opc) Private Limited on Singanpore Road in Surat. We are on the ground floor of the Omkar-2 building, specifically at Plot 74. Since we are an OPC, it is a smaller operation, but we stay quite busy with the day-to-day tasks. The ground floor setup is great because people can just walk right in from the street. Singanpore Road is always full of energy and there are plenty of small shops around us. Our workspace is filled with different types of fabric and art materials. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a new shipment comes in. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you are right in the middle of the work. There are usually a couple of us working at the main table, sorting through things or answering the phone. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving boxes around, but that shows we are actually getting things done. We have a small kettle in the back for making tea when we get a break. It’s a very local feel here. We know the people at the shops next door and we all look out for each other. It’s not a corporate environment at all, just a place where we work on our fabric arts and keep the business going.
