We have been here at 11/47 in Chauta Bazar for a very long time now. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets, especially during the festival seasons. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just a regular place where we do our work every single day. My grandfather started things off, and we just kept going with the same old recipes for ghari and other sweets. It gets quite hot in the back where the ovens are, but that is just how it is. We spend most of our mornings getting the stock ready before the shutters go up. Customers come in and out, some stay to chat for a bit while others are in a big rush because of the traffic outside. Chauta Bazar has changed a lot over the years, with new shops opening up and old ones closing down, but we stay right here. It is a bit noisy with the scooters and people shouting, but it feels like home to us. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are. Usually, the floor is a bit dusty from the street, and we are constantly cleaning. It is a simple life, making sure the food is fresh and the boxes are packed right. We don't try to be anything we are not. It is just a family business in a busy market.
