Our office is up on the third floor of Radhey Market, room 359. It’s right on Ring Road near Sahara Darwaja. If you’ve ever been to the New Textile Market in Surat, you know how crowded it gets. Salasar Hanuman Marg is always buzzing with people and trucks. We’ve been operating from here because it’s central to everything going on in the textile world. Being on the third floor means we get away from some of the street noise, but we still hear the horns all day. We do a lot of packaging work for the industries around here. It’s a lot of paper, plastic, and boxes piled up. The elevators in the market are usually busy, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. It’s just how things go in a busy market building. We start early to beat the worst of the traffic coming through Sahara Darwaja. Most of our day is spent coordinating shipments and making sure the packing materials are ready for the local shops and factories. It’s a practical space, nothing too pretty to look at. We have desks, some samples, and a lot of paperwork. Dealing with the textile market means things move fast and we have to keep up. We know the other folks in the building well. It feels like a small community even though the market is huge.
