Savita Weaves Llp is based in the Bamroli area of Surat. You can find us at plot number 64 inside the Tirupati Industrial Estate. Like most places in this part of town, we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. The air always feels busy here. We focus on weaving and the machines are the main focus of our daily lives. The noise is constant but it’s a sound we have grown to appreciate because it means we are working. The space in Tirupati Industrial Estate is purely for production. We don't have a separate, fancy office block; everything happens right there on the floor. It can get quite warm inside during the afternoons, so the big ceiling fans are always spinning. Our crew is small but they are very experienced with the looms and the threads. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with suits and long meetings. Instead, we have quick chats over tea and get back to the machines. Getting to Bamroli can sometimes take a while because of the truck traffic on the main roads, but it’s a good location for a weaving business like ours. We just try to keep our heads down and produce what we need to. There isn't any promotional talk or big promises here. We just show up and do the weaving work as best as we can every day. It is a regular job and we take it seriously.
