Samsung

This is the Samsung spot over on Dumas Road, specifically in the Marol D-1 area. We mostly deal with the phones and tablets that everyone knows. The shop is kept clean because that’s what people expect, but it’s still just a regular workplace for us. We spend a lot of time explaining how the new cameras work or why a battery might be draining too fast. It can get pretty repetitive answering the same questions all day long. The air conditioning is usually running high because the sunlight hits the front windows pretty hard in the afternoon. We have the latest models on the tables so people can touch them and see if they like the size. Sometimes the demo units act up and we have to restart them. It’s a busy part of town, so we get a lot of people just walking in to look around while they wait for their bus or a ride. We aren't a huge corporate headquarters, just a local branch where you can get your tech stuff. The back room is full of boxes and old promotional posters we haven't thrown away yet. I usually eat my lunch in the small break area behind the counter. Working here means keeping up with a lot of changes in technology, which can be a bit much sometimes. But if you are in Marol D-1 and need a new charger or want to see a phone, we are here. Most of the guys here are local and just helping out.
