Sadguru Krupa Bandhani Ghar

You can find Sadguru Krupa Bandhani Ghar at F/11 in the Swaraj Ashram Complex. We are right opposite the Millennium Mall in Amrut Nagar, Surat. It’s quite a contrast because the mall is all glass and bright lights, while our complex is a bit more traditional and quiet. Being at F/11 means we are tucked into a corner. We have a lot of stuff packed into a small space. The walls are covered with different bits of fabric and tools. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor because it’s easier for the work we do. It’s a family-style environment here. Someone is always bringing in snacks or making a pot of tea in the back. The noise from the street outside near Millennium Mall is constant, but inside the Swaraj Ashram Complex, it feels a bit more shielded. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, one of us will just look up from what we're doing and say hello. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps when the sun starts to go down. Surat is a busy city for this kind of thing, and we just play our small part in it. We have been in Amrut Nagar for years. The stairs up to the complex are a bit steep, but we are used to them now. It is a good place to be if you like to see how things are made by hand.
