Royal Mattress Materials

If you head down to Salabatpura at number 22 on Kalinga Rao Road, you’ll find us at Royal Mattress Materials. It’s a busy street and there’s always something moving outside the front door. Inside, it smells like new foam and fabric because that’s mostly what we have stacked from floor to ceiling. We handle a lot of the bits and pieces that go into making a bed comfortable. There are rolls of cloth and different types of stuffing everywhere you look. It can be a bit of a squeeze getting through the aisles sometimes because we try to keep enough stock on hand so people don't have to wait. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly know we are here because they’ve been coming to this part of town for years to get their supplies. The lighting in the back isn't the best, but we know exactly where the different grades of materials are kept. We spend the morning unloading rolls and the afternoon helping people figure out how much they need for whatever they are making. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around, but it keeps us busy. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and foam scraps by the end of the day. We just sweep it up and start over the next morning. There is no point in trying to keep it perfectly clean while we work.
