Kindarts

Kindarts is based at 611, Avirbhav Society 1, in the Pandesara area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of houses and small workshops squeezed together. We work from this space, focusing on various artistic and creative projects. Sometimes it’s textile designs, and other times it’s more about craft work. Surat is a big hub for this kind of stuff, so we fit right in. Our workspace is usually covered in scraps of fabric, paint, and sketches. It’s not the most organized place, but that’s just how we work best. We have a few people who help out when we have a big order to finish. Most of our days are spent trying out new patterns or figuring out how to make a certain design look right on a piece of cloth. It can be tiring work, especially when the power goes out or the weather gets too humid, which happens a lot here. We don’t have a storefront where people can just walk in and browse; it’s more of a production spot. We take orders from other businesses and individuals who want something specific made. We’ve been in this society for a while now, and the neighbors are used to the noise of our machines. It’s a humble setup, but we enjoy the freedom of making things with our hands. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work in front of us.
