Our place is up in C-304 in Katargam, so you have to come into the building and find the right floor. Rajsmith Bill Payment Services isn't a shop with a big window on the street. It’s more of an office where we sit with the computers and the ledger books. People bring in their electricity bills, their gas bills, and sometimes their internet papers. We spend a lot of time typing numbers into the system and making sure the receipts print out correctly. The printer is a bit noisy and sometimes it jams, which is a real pain when there’s a line of three or four people waiting. We have a water dispenser in the corner and a couple of magazines on the table, though they are quite old now. The walls are mostly bare except for some charts and the licenses we have to display. It’s a quiet place compared to the shops on the main road. We see the same faces every month when the bills are due. Sometimes the internet connection goes slow and we have to ask people to wait a few minutes while we restart the router. We use a lot of pens and they always seem to go missing. The desk is large and takes up most of the room, leaving just enough space for a couple of visitors to sit down while we process their payments. It’s not fancy, but we get the work done every day.
