Rajmandir Silk Creation

Rajmandir Silk Creation is located in the Suryakiran Complex. It’s a well-known spot because it’s right opposite Sardar Hospital in Bardoli. Being near the hospital means people always have a landmark to find us by, which is helpful. The shop is filled with rolls of silk, and the colors are probably the only bright thing about the place. We have simple wooden racks and a long table where we can unroll the fabric to check for any snags or marks. I’ve worked here for a long time, and I know exactly where every roll is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Bardoli is a nice enough town, and this complex stays fairly busy throughout the week. I usually keep a small radio playing in the background to fill the silence when it’s just me. The floor is tiled and easy to clean, which is good because fabric can get dusty. I don’t have any big sales pitches or fancy lights to show off the silk. It just sits there on the shelves until someone needs it. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops in the complex come by to borrow a stapler or just to complain about the heat. It’s a small community here. I spend most of my day measuring out lengths of cloth and wrapping them up for people. It’s a steady job and I like the routine of opening up every morning.
