You can find our shop, Radha Krishna Tex Fab, right on the Ring Road in Surat. We are located in Shop No. 212 inside the Krishna Market, which is very close to the Kinnari Cinema. Anyone who knows Surat knows that the Ring Road is the heart of the textile world. It is a very crowded and loud place with people pushing carts and trucks trying to get through the narrow gaps. Our shop is not very large, but we pack a lot of fabric into it. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with different kinds of tex fab materials. Most of our day is spent showing samples to customers who squeeze into the shop and negotiating prices. It is a very fast-paced environment and you have to be quick to keep up with everything. We do not have any fancy displays; we just pull the cloth out and let people feel the quality for themselves. The market gets very dusty and the noise never really stops until late at night. We have been in this spot for quite a while and we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It is a community of people who all work in the same trade. We do not do much advertising because the foot traffic in Krishna Market is usually enough to keep us busy from morning until we close the shutters.
