Our shop is down on the lower ground floor of the New Bombay Market, Shop 622 to be exact. It’s in Wing-E, right across from the garden in Umarwada. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it gets incredibly crowded, especially on the weekends. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. It’s a bit of a maze getting down here, but we like the location. Being in the market means we’re right in the middle of all the action in Surat. Quba Fab is basically just us working in this small space, surrounded by stacks of fabric. We don’t have much room for a fancy desk, so we usually just work around the stock. The lighting down here isn't the best, but we've added a few extra bulbs so we can see what we're doing. It’s noisy with people shouting and carts rolling by outside our door. Sometimes the rain causes a bit of a puddle near the entrance, but we just mop it up and keep moving. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just sell our stuff and try to keep our customers happy. Most of our regulars are other shop owners or local folks who know where to find us. We don't really do any big marketing. We just open up the shutters every morning and see what the day brings. It’s a tough way to make a living sometimes, but it’s our life and we're used to it.
