Pragati Group

Pragati Group is situated at 24/1, right near the sub station by Katargam Darwaja. The sub station makes a low humming noise if you stand outside long enough, but inside the building, we don't notice it anymore. Katargam Darwaja is a very old part of the area and it’s always packed with people and scooters. Finding a place to park near 24/1 is almost impossible most days. Our office is a simple one. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that creak when you sit down. We do our daily business here without much fuss. There are stacks of files and some old ledgers because we still like to write things down by hand. It feels more real that way. The windows are small and look out toward the street. You can see the people going about their business all day. Pragati Group isn't a huge operation, just a few of us making sure everything runs the way it should. We get the mail delivered late in the afternoon usually. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door if the storm is bad enough, so we keep some old rugs there to soak up the water. It’s a plain place, but it's where we spend all our time. We don't need much else to get the job done near the sub station. Our kettle is always on if someone needs a break from the paperwork.
