Nandini Cooperative Housing Services Society Ltd

This is the office for Nandini Cooperative Housing Services Society Ltd over at 251 Athwa. It is not really a business in the usual sense. We are here to look after the building and the people who live in it. Dealing with a housing society means there is always something to fix or a bill to be paid. Whether it is a leaky pipe in one of the flats or the lift acting up again, it all comes through this small office. We have a lot of registers where we write down the maintenance fees and the complaints from the residents. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for our members. The office is usually open for a few hours in the morning and evening. We sit around the old wooden table and discuss what needs to be done for the next month. Athwa is a nice area, but these buildings need a lot of care to keep them in good shape. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been here for years. Sometimes the meetings get a bit loud when everyone has a different opinion on what color to paint the gates. But that’s just how community living is. We do our best to keep things running smooth so everyone can live in peace. It's a lot of responsibility, but we've lived here long enough to care.
