Our business is located in the Pandesara GIDC area of Surat. Specifically, we are at B-101 in the Central Park building. If you’ve ever been to Pandesara, you know it’s a massive industrial zone with a lot of energy. There’s always smoke from the chimneys nearby and the sound of heavy vehicles. We handle import and export stuff, mainly dealing with textiles since that is what this city is known for. Our office in Central Park is where we keep all the records and talk to our suppliers. It’s not a very large place, but it serves us well for the daily grind. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking shipping documents. The paperwork can be a real pain sometimes, especially with the changing rules. Most of us have lived in Surat our whole lives, so we are used to the pace here. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything flashy. We just do our work and try to keep things moving. Lunch usually involves someone bringing in a tiffin and we eat together in the small break area. It’s a bit dusty because of the industrial setting, but that’s just life in a GIDC. We are right in the middle of everything, which makes it easy to visit the mills when we need to check on things. It is just a practical place for doing daily business.
