Our place is located out in Katargam, specifically in the New GIDC Sub Division-2. If you are familiar with Surat, you know this part of town is pretty industrial. We are at Block No. P-656. It’s a busy spot with trucks coming and going all the time. Sometimes the roads get a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby. We work with textiles here, mostly focusing on the manufacturing side of things. It’s not a quiet office; there is always the sound of machines running in the background. We have been here for a while now and we know most of the neighbors in the block. The weather gets really hot in the summer, which makes working on the floor a bit tough, but we manage with fans. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure the production stays on track. Most of our day is spent looking at fabric samples and checking the looms. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big order to finish. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but that’s the reality of a textile unit in Gujarat. We just keep our heads down and get the job done. The address is easy to find once you get into the GIDC area, though the sign might be a little faded from the sun. We are just regular people working in a factory.
