Om Mobiles

If you are walking down Varachha Road 1, you will probably pass by Om Mobiles. It is a small shop that stays pretty busy because of where it is located. There is always a lot of foot traffic right outside our door. We handle a bit of everything when it comes to phones. Some people want a new SIM card, others need a quick repair, and some just want a cheap pair of earphones because they lost theirs. The shop is narrow, so we have to keep things organized on the walls. We have a glass counter that is full of different gadgets and small electronics. It gets dusty pretty fast with the door open to the street, so we are always wiping things down with a cloth. The noise from the buses and bikes on Varachha Road is constant, and you have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the horns. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that spins all day. Sometimes we stand out front for a minute to watch the chaos of the street. It is a lively place to work. We have been here for a good amount of time, and we know most of the other shop owners nearby. We just do our work, talk to the customers, and head home when the street lights come on. It is nothing special, but it is our shop and we are here every day. It feels like home after a while.
