Noorani Matching Corner

Noorani Matching Corner is right in the thick of it near Jumma Masjid in the Karm Yogi Society. If you know Surat, you know this area is always moving and there is always something going on. Our shop is quite small, and sometimes it feels even smaller when we have a lot of new stock arriving. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, and they are filled with different colors and types of cloth and thread. It is a lot to keep track of every day, but we have been doing it for so long that we usually know exactly where everything is located. The shop is not shiny or polished like a mall store. The floor has some scuffs and the wooden counters are worn down from years of customers leaning on them. We like it that way because it shows we have been working hard. Being so close to the masjid, we hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. It is a very local vibe here. We do not have a big team or anything like that. It is usually just a couple of us here helping people find the right thread to match their clothes. It takes a lot of patience because sometimes the colors are just a tiny bit different. We do not use any fancy systems, we just use our eyes and the natural light from the door. We just open up, sweep the front, and wait for the day to start.
