Sudharshan Fashitions

Our workshop for Sudharshan Fashitions is over at GIDC Plot No. 998. It’s a large space because we need room for the cutting tables and the sewing machines. Being in the GIDC area means we are surrounded by other factories, so there’s always a lot of activity on the street. Inside, it’s usually the sound of the machines and people talking over the noise. We deal with a lot of fabric, so there are rolls of cloth stacked up in various corners. It’s not a fancy fashion house like you might see on TV; it’s a production floor where the real work happens. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the patterns are cut correctly. It’s a busy environment, and sometimes it gets a bit hectic when we have a lot of orders to get out. The lighting is bright so we can see the fine details of the work. We have a small area partitioned off for the office work, but it’s mostly just a desk and some filing cabinets. Most of us have been working here for quite a while, and we’ve gotten used to the pace. We don’t use any complicated systems, just hard work and keeping an eye on the details. It’s a straightforward business, and we just focus on getting the job done without making a big deal about it. The days go by fast when there is a lot to sew and package up for the clients. It’s a bit of a trek to get here.
