Neon Craft

Our shop is over at No. 5/1755 on Turawa Street. If you know where Khoon Saheb Masjid is in Saiyedpura, you can find us easily. We are right in that busy part of the neighborhood. It is a small place, mostly filled with glass tubes and different tools for the neon work. It gets pretty warm in here when the torches are on, but that is part of the job. We have been working out of this space for a long time. People usually walk in with a rough idea written on a piece of paper, and we sit down to figure out if it can be done. It’s not a big corporate operation. It is just a few of us handling the glass and the gas. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people walking to the masjid. We keep our doors open most of the time to let some air in. You’ll see plenty of scraps and wires around because there is always something being repaired or put together. We don't have a big front desk or a waiting room. You just walk in and talk to whoever is not holding a glass tube at the moment. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, but business keeps moving. We just focus on getting the glass bent right. It's been our daily routine for years now.
