National Institute Of Design Research & Technology

We are over here at M-1 in the Bhagwati Ashish Shopping Center -1. It's on Citylight Road in Surat. If you know where Ashok Pan House is, we are right across from that. Also, we’re on the floor above Union Bank. We call ourselves the National Institute Of Design Research & Technology. It's basically a place for people interested in design and tech. We spend most of our days working on different research bits or teaching what we know. The office isn't anything too flashy, but it works for us. Usually, you’ll find some of us sitting around talking about design stuff or looking at new tech ideas. We’ve been in this part of Surat for some time now. Being near the bank and the pan shop makes it pretty easy for people to find us when they need to stop by. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside since it’s a busy road, but inside we just focus on the work. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with suits and big speeches. It is just a group of us trying to figure out how to make things better using technology and design principles. If you're walking around Citylight Road, you can see our sign. We keep things pretty simple here. No big fancy reception or anything like that. Just desks, computers, and people working. It’s a practical setup for the kind of research we do and the students who visit.
