Keps Distance Education

Our place is located on the second floor of Ambika Appartment. It is on the road that goes from Rachana to Kapodra, right in the Adarshnagar area of Varachha Road. Being on the second floor means it is a little quieter than the street level, which is good for when students come by to talk about their courses. We handle distance education, so a lot of what we do involves mailing books and checking on exam dates. The office has a lot of shelves filled with textbooks and old files. We are not a big university with a campus; it is just a few rooms where we keep things organized. Students stop in to drop off forms or to ask questions about how the whole distance learning thing works. Sometimes we have to explain things a couple of times because the rules change, but that is just how it goes. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We have been in this part of Surat for quite some time, and people in Adarshnagar usually know where the building is. We do not put on any acts here. It is just desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the registration lists. It is a practical spot for people who are trying to study while they work or do other things. That is mostly what we do here.
