We are set up in H 86 on the ground floor of the India Textile Market right on Ring Road. If you’ve ever been to Surat, you know that Ring Road is basically the center of the universe for fabric. It’s loud, crowded, and there is never enough parking. Our spot is right in the thick of it, which makes things easier when we have to move goods around, but it sure is a lot to handle some days. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks, some chairs, and a lot of samples lying around. We spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork for imports and exports, making sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of back and forth with different people in the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, or the internet acts up, and we just have to sit there and wait. It’s part of the life here. We usually have tea delivered from the stall outside a few times a day to keep us going. The floor gets dusty from all the people walking in and out from the main road, and we try to keep it clean but it’s a losing battle. We’ve been at this for a while now, and we just focus on getting the daily work done without too much fuss. It's a busy life, but being right here in the market means we never miss what's happening.
