Mobile Multi Media

Operating out of the Surat Chetan Cloth Market is an experience. It’s always crowded and there’s a lot of shouting and moving around, which we’ve grown to love. Mobile Multi Media is right in the middle of all that action. We get a lot of workers from the market coming in during their breaks. They might need a new SIM card or their phone died because of the heat and dust. We do our best to help them out quickly because everyone is on a schedule here. The shop is filled with the sound of the market outside, but inside we focus on the gadgets. We handle everything from basic handsets to the newer smartphones. Sometimes we get people coming in who bought a phone elsewhere and just need help setting up the language or the internet. We don't mind. It’s just part of being in this community. We keep a good stock of cables because they always seem to go missing or fray. The shelves are a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy chairs or a waiting lounge. Most people just lean against the counter and chat while we check their devices. When the market shuts down for the day, we finally get a bit of peace to finish the harder repair jobs. It’s a long day, but it feels good to be productive in such a busy place with so many familiar faces.
