If you walk down Rander Road and head toward Sadhana Society, you’ll find us easily enough. Mobile Gallary isn’t a massive place, but we’ve got enough room for the repair bench and the display racks. Most of my day is spent looking through a magnifying glass at tiny circuit boards or trying to get a screen protector on without any bubbles. It’s fiddly work and it can be frustrating when a part doesn’t fit right. The shop gets a lot of light in the afternoon, which is nice for working, but it makes the place get a bit warm. We usually have a cricket match or the news playing on a small TV in the corner to keep things from being too quiet. People come in with cracked screens or phones that won’t charge, and we just tell them honestly if it’s worth fixing or not. There’s no point in lying about it. Sadhana Society is a good neighborhood, and we know most of the people who live nearby. Sometimes they just come in to ask how to use a certain app or to buy a cheap charging cable. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. The shelves are mostly full of cases and chargers, and there’s always a pile of old parts in the back that I keep meaning to sort through. We keep the doors open to let a breeze in when we can, and we just keep the shop running.
