Meluha Silk Mills Private Limited

We are located out in Kamrej, at Block No. 584, 85, and 88. Meluha Silk Mills Private Limited is pretty much where I spend all my daylight hours these days. Our spot is near Kumkum Residency at Plot 62. Surat is the big hub for this kind of textile stuff, so being here makes sense, even if it is a bit of a long drive from the main part of the city. The silk mills stay very busy and there is always the smell of yarn and dye in the air. We have several blocks here, so it takes a minute to walk between the different sections of the mill. It is not the most modern setup you will ever see, but the looms work well enough for what we need. We have a lot of reels of silk thread sitting everywhere. Sometimes I lose my pen in the piles of fabric and it takes forever to find it. The workers come from all over the area and we just try to get the yardage right for each order. We do not spend money on fancy advertisements or marketing. Most people hear about us from other traders working in the Kamrej area. It is loud in the sheds, so we use hand signals to talk. We have a small tea corner where everyone gathers around 4 PM to take a rest. The concrete floors are hard on the feet, so we all wear thick slippers.
