Mehta Infocom

Mehta Infocom is based in Surat, and we’ve been working out of this spot for a while now. If you’ve ever walked through the busy parts of the city, you know how much stuff is always going on. Our place is mostly filled with computer parts, old monitors, and a lot of tangled cables that we keep meaning to sort out properly. People come in all the time with laptops that won't turn on or because they need a specific part that they can't find anywhere else. We spend most of the day at our workbenches with a screwdriver in hand, just trying to figure out why a machine is making a weird noise. Surat can get pretty hot and dusty, so we spend a fair amount of time just cleaning the fans and the insides of the towers that come in. It isn't a flashy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It’s more of a practical workspace where we can actually get things done. We usually have the radio on in the background while we work, and there’s always a stack of paperwork on the desk that needs to be dealt with eventually. Most of our customers are just regular folks from the neighborhood who need their tech fixed so they can get back to work themselves. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us here doing the daily grind and making sure the shop stays open.
