Maths Magic

Maths Magic is located inside Chitrakut Apartment right on Varachha Road. It’s a busy part of Surat, but our little spot in the building is where the focus stays on the numbers. We’ve been operating out of this apartment for some time now. It’s not a fancy school building, just a regular space where we’ve set up some tables and chairs for students to come and practice their sums. Math is one of those things that either makes sense or it doesn't, so we spend our hours trying to make sure it does. We see a lot of students who are worried about their exams, and we just sit with them and work through the exercises in their books. There is no magic trick involved despite the name, just lots of practice and repeating things until they get it right. The rooms are simple and we keep things informal. If a student is stuck on a geometry problem, we take the time to draw it out on the board until they see it. Varachha Road can be noisy with all the vehicles passing by, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We mostly get local kids from the surrounding buildings who walk over after their morning schools are done. It’s a very local operation, run by people who just happen to be good with numbers and want to pass that on to the younger ones. We don't have a receptionist or a website, just a phone number and this room.
