MAHAMANTRA SILK MILLS PRIVATE LIMITED

Mahamantra Silk Mills is located inside the Bombay Market compound in Umerwada. We are way up on the 5th floor, specifically office 504 of the Art Silk Co-op Society building. Being in the Bombay Market means we are right in the middle of everything to do with silk and textiles. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but once you’re up here, it’s a bit quieter than the ground floor. We spend our time managing the mill operations from this office. There are always stacks of silk samples and order books lying around. The compound is a maze of shops and offices, and we’ve been part of it for a while now. We don't try to look like a fancy modern company. Our office looks like a place where people actually work. We have old shelves full of ledgers and a few chairs for visitors. Most of our day is spent coordinating with the production side and talking to buyers who come through the market. It can get pretty hectic during the festival seasons when everyone wants their fabric at the same time. We just take it one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed by the mountain of paperwork. It’s a local business through and through, run by people who know the silk trade inside out and enjoy the daily grind.
