Life Chemist & Provision Store

Life Chemist & Provision Store is located in the Shree Ganesh Complex along Sayan Road. It’s right near the sugar factory area, so you can often smell that sweet, heavy scent in the air depending on which way the wind is blowing. We handle both medicines and general groceries here. It’s a lot of work keeping everything sorted out. One side of the wall is filled with glass cabinets for the medicines, and the other side has all the household stuff like flour, oil, and biscuits. The Sayan area stays busy with people traveling back and forth, and many workers from the factory stop by on their way home. We spend a good portion of the morning checking the stock and dusting the shelves because the road outside gets quite dusty. The cooling for the medicines has to be checked constantly, especially when the power fluctuates. It isn’t a very big shop, but we make the most of the space we have. There’s a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things are slow, but that doesn't happen very often. Usually, someone is always coming in for something they forgot to buy earlier. We try to keep the most common things people ask for right at the front. It’s just a normal way to earn a living here in Surat. We see the same faces every day and know what they usually need before they even ask for it. The complex gets quiet at night, which is when we finally close up.
