The Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Ltd.

Our place is located in Masat, Silvassa, specifically at Survey No. 61/2P/1. This part of Silvassa has changed a lot over the years, with more buildings popping up everywhere. We work with pharmaceuticals here. It’s a bit different from the heavy engineering shops because we have to keep things a lot cleaner. The air feels different inside the facility compared to the dusty road outside. We spend a lot of time checking the machines and the ingredients. The staff comes in shifts, and there’s always a bit of a rush during the changeovers. Masat is a busy industrial hub, so there are always people moving about and trucks carrying goods to different parts of the country. We don’t have much to say about ourselves other than we show up and do the job. The building itself is plain, just a functional space for what we need to do. We’ve been at this Silvassa location for quite a while, and most of the locals know where the plot is. We just keep to our routine, making the products and keeping the facility running. It’s a steady kind of work, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place over the years. Sometimes the monsoon season makes travel to Masat a bit slow, but the work inside goes on as usual. We have people here around the clock because the machines shouldn't really stop once they're started. It’s a lot of responsibility.
