Krishna Dye Chem is over at No. 29 A in the Lala Kunj Estate, which is part of the Pandesara G.I.D.C. area. If you know the neighborhood, we’re quite close to the Nova Dye Stop. Since we’re in an industrial estate, it’s not exactly the prettiest place to work every day. There’s a lot of noise from the nearby factories and the smell of chemicals is just something you get used to after a couple of days on the job. Our unit is a bit worn down, but it’s sturdy and does the job we need it to do. We spend a lot of time moving drums and checking the quality of the dyes we have in stock. It can be messy work, and by the end of the day, our clothes usually have a few colorful spots on them. The heat inside the estate can get pretty bad, especially when the machines are all running in the units right next door. We don't have a big reception area or a lobby. People who need to see us usually just walk straight into the workspace. It’s a very practical environment. We have a small corner for the paperwork where we try to keep the dust off the computer as much as possible. It’s mostly about keeping the production going and making sure we don't run out of raw materials. Most people working around here are in the same boat.
