Bhatia Colors

We set up Bhatia Colors over at Plot No. 304 in Utna. It is not hard to find if you head behind the State Bank and look for the Bamboo House. We are right in that vicinity. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have got shelves full of different pigments and cans, and there is usually a bit of a smell of paint in the air, which we do not mind at all. It is just the two or three of us here most days. We spend our time mixing things or checking what has come in on the latest truck. Utna is a decent place to work, though it gets quite hot in the summer months. We do not have air conditioning or anything fancy like that, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. Most of our visitors are people from the neighborhood or local contractors who have been coming to us for years. We do not do a lot of fancy advertising. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs something. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when things are slow, just watching the street. It is a simple way to run a business. We know where everything is on our shelves, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. It is our space, and we have been here long enough that it feels like a second home to us.
